Through Pitchfest, three innovative start-ups in Oxfordshire have secured investment capital to grow their businesses: Adaptix, Oxford Space Systems and Ducentis BioTherapeutics.
- Adaptix provides the technology to create fully portable and affordable 3D X-ray solutions. This technology will enhance patient’s access to the world’s most important imaging technologies and likely increase the diagnostic accuracy for many high incidence conditions.
- Ducentis is developing novel therapies for inflammation and autoimmune disease. They have used the funding to file patents securing ownership of novel molecules in an important area of immune cell regulation.
- Oxford Space Systems (OSS) aims to become the leading supplier of deployable space structures globally. OSS is designing innovative, scalable structures that are lighter, lower cost and less complex than those in current commercial demand.
These start-ups were also shortlisted in the 2016 Oxford Trust Enterprise Awards; Adaptix and Oxford Space Systems won the overall categories.
