Jason Smith
Associate Director, NQIT, University of Oxford

Jason Smith leads NQIT’s work on solid state node engineering and is the NQIT Associate Director for Skills and Training. He leads the Photonic Nanomaterials Group (PNG) in the Oxford Department of Materials which focuses on nanostructured materials and nanophotonic devices for diverse applications including quantum information processing, quantum communications and chemical sensing. Within NQIT he leads efforts to develop quantum processors using point defects in diamond as networkable qubits. When not engaged in teaching, research or entrepreneurship he enjoys running.
