Gary Muddyman is the Founder and CEO of Conversis. He established the business in 2003 having previously spent 16 years with HSBC with whom he held a variety of Senior Management roles. Conversis operates from offices at Oxfordshire in the UK and Raleigh, North Carolina in the USA. It specialises in providing translation and localisation services to global businesses, primarily those in regulated industries.
Gary is also an advisor to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for modern languages in the UK and Red Dot an international digital marketing agency based in Toronto, Canada. Previously, he was vice-chairman of the Globalization and Localization Association and served on the Advisory Boards of two industry charitable organisations, the Rosetta Foundation and Translators Without Borders. He was also on the Board of Wembley to Soweto, a global initiative providing photographic training and life-skills to underprivileged youngsters to help them to develop their potential.
Gary is a regular speaker at conferences around the world on many aspects of international communication and global commerce. Gary is passionate about localization being used as a strategic business tool and this informs and guides his leadership of the team at Conversis.
