Evert is leading the industrial strategy and partnership programmes for NQIT, the UK’s Quantum Computing hub, led by the Oxford University. Prior to joining NQIT, Evert was Head of Licensing and Ventures for the Physical Sciences at Oxford University Innovation (OUI) since 2009. At OUI, Evert helped founders create over 50 new ventures, was responsible for the Oxford Startup Incubator and secured licence agreements for many Oxford inventions. Evert studied Automotive Engineering from the Netherlands and has held senior roles in the automotive industry –  including General Motors and Lotus Engineering. Evert has founded his own ventures and raised investment pioneering affordable electric cars, and also holds a MBA from Warwick University.
