David is an Oxford-based life sciences angel investor. Since 2016 he has been focused on early-stage investing, managing the Arrowfield Capital syndicate, and his passion is working with young companies to realise an ambitious idea and attract investment capital for growth. He is a member of Cambridge Angels, Cambridge Capital Group, OION, as well as the UK Business Angels Association. With over 20 years of global investment experience he started his career in 1997 as a pan-European equity analyst for PRICOA Capital Group covering the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemicals sectors. Latterly he was Managing Director & Head of Credit Research for Intermediate Capital Group plc in London where was responsible for oversight for all of ICG’s Senior Debt and High Yield investments in Europe and Asia, totalling over €10bn of Funds under Management. With a diversified portfolio of early-stage life sciences investments, David currently sits on the Boards of Oppilotech, Oxford Drug Design, and SomaServe. He is a graduate of Oxford University with a Masters degree in Biochemistry.

Pitching for Success – Morning Session
John Henry Brookes Lecture Theatre
Pitching for Success will be to an audience that includes investors, support organisations and individuals.
Each session will include a panel made up of professional funding organisations; including speakers from crowd investment (Peer2Peer, equity, loans), venture capital and public sector funding. Each investor panel speaker will give an overview of what they look for when investing or funding a company followed by Q&A with the audience.
As well as the live pitches and investor panels, the companies from both sessions will be available in the foyer of the John Henry Brookes Lecture Theatre for networking.
