Nicky has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College and has over 30 years experience in the sustainability sector. Having worked in Policy roles with the CBI and the World Travel and Tourism Council, she founded Best Foot Forward, one of Europe’s first and award winning sustainability consultancy and software providers, working with companies such as Coca-Cola, Tesco, GSK London 2012, IHG and Government. Nicky has also founded and grown several other businesses. BFF was acquired by Anthesis Consulting in 2013 since when Nicky has focussed on ‘clean and green’ innovation and entrepreneurship. She is an Entrepreneurship Expert with the Entrepreneurship Centre, Saïd Business School, a mentor with the Imperial Venture Mentor Service and a mentor for London Business School Entrepreneurship Programme.
Nicky became CEO of Origen in 2018 since when the company and has successfully raised £0.75m equity funding and £1.25 in grants. A prototype of the Origen carbon capture machine is planned to be commissioned in 2020.
