Sharon Bedford is a Partner in James Cowper Kreston’s tax team, based in Oxford.

She has over 30 years’ experience of advising companies and their stakeholders on taxation. She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA).

Having gained extensive experience in Big 4 firms, including in North America, Sharon moved to James Cowper Kreston in 2002.

Sharon has a deep expertise in international tax matters, including BEPS, cross-border financing, supply chain management, tax structures, international M&A and transfer pricing.  Having worked abroad herself she has a good understanding of the challenges of international business.  She has helped a large number of overseas businesses establish UK operations and has also helped a number of UK companies set up international operations and collaborations, particularly in the US.

Sharon is a member of the International Tax Group of Kreston International, a global network on independent accounting firms, and regularly presents on tax matters at their international tax conferences.

Sharon has a varied portfolio of clients of all sizes, with a predominance in the technology sector. She has advised technology companies and their stakeholders on a wide range of taxation issues including; R&D Tax Credits, Patent Box, EIS, Share Schemes and M&A transactions.
