Venturefest 2018
To celebrate our 20th anniversary we went back to our roots, showcasing the cutting edge technology and thinking that Oxfordshire is known for the world over. It was a fantastic day with at a brilliant new venue.
Venturefest20 focused on four of the technology sectors in Oxford that have the transformative potential for the local, UK and world economies:
- Digital Health
- Quantum Computing
- Space
- Autonomous Vehicles
The event showcased the technologies, the applications and the opportunities within these sectors.

Pitching for Success
At Venturefest Oxford 2018, twenty companies pitched to an audience that included investors, support organisations and individuals. Each session included a panel made up of professional funding organisations. The panel voted for five finalists, who pitched again at the final session. The five finalists were: Glyconics, Learning with Experts, Oxford Dynamic Consent, OxyClot and OneCup. The winner of the £1,000 cash prize, as voted for by the audience was OneCup.
